PalmBay BMX holds first Double Race 2/6/2010
PalmBay BMX moto counts picked up over the weekend by holding double races 2/6/2010. The track ran 10 motos in race 1 and 8 in race 2. Raul Gomez and Tucker Rice From MCS showed support to the local program and made the drive up!
Although moto counts still do not match other tracks around the state, we still feel that the momentum will continue and the counts will continue to increase. The 10 year old rookie class had 6 riders in the class making it the race of the day as 9 year old Rookie Conner Green took home his 2nd win of the day! Thanks to everyone who supports our local track! Thanks to everyone who traveled over from St. Cloud and thanks to all of our local parents for supporting our local program!
Palm Bay BMX to begin double races on Saturday's effective 2-6-2010
In an effort to increase moto counts and rider participation Palm Bay BMX will begin holding double races effective this Saturday. The board determined in order to support the local track needs it would help to race more than one day a week. This would also not conflict with the St Cloud BMX rider counts for their scheduled Sunday races. Palm Bay BMX is trying to lead by example working together with other tracks to increase participation and level of competition during local races. If other tracks are interested in rider development travel programs contact Jason Jones at 321-543-8466. Together we are better!
2/2/2010- AYM/Palm Bay BMX is pleased to announce our latest program "From the Heart" with Chris Person.
From the Heart is a program designed to meet the needs of kids who are economically challenged. The program will focus on creating ways for underprivilege and at risk youth to become active in BMX racing. Chris Person is a guy who has many years of racing experience and has a desire to get more kids in the action! By utilizing sponsors and current NBL programs designed to introduce kids in these situations we hope to get more kids involved in our sport. All of us at AYM/PalmBay BMX are proud to have Chris on our team and look forward to supporting him and the mission of AYM.
